Since 11.05.2024 I get. massiv spam registerings.
I have nothing changed. alsmost 400 new users in 2 days, I always get no delivery possible emails ( I guguess confirmations).
I have social loging (mostly used via google) and form with google capcha.
It has worked for long long time but suddenly no more.

I see new users as Customer not subscriber.
Could it be somehow over Woocommerce shop?

new registerings are only as customers not subscribers as my standard. So it only can come from woocommerce.

Could plugin facebook for woocommerce be causing this which I now deactivated?

    Hi @jaroslawistok

It’s possible that your site has been targeted by a bot or automated system. It’s good that you’re using Google Captcha for your registration forms, but sometimes this isn’t enough. I would recommend trying a different captcha system or adding additional security measures, such as a security question or two-step verification.

Could plugin facebook for woocommerce be causing this which I now deactivated?

This plugin should not inherently cause an increase in spam registrations because it has no relation to the user registration function. It just makes a connection between Facebook and WooCommerce to sync products.

new registerings are only as customers not subscribers as my standard. So it only can come from woocommerce.

What is your default user roll set in Settings > General > New User Default Role? If it isn’t a customer, then even WooCommerce can’t create a user with customer roles.

I also don’t see edit link when looking someone profile where I could edit profile for example country or so.

This could be due to user role restrictions. Please ensure you have the necessary permissions to edit user profiles. If you are using an admin user ID, then you should have access to edit or even delete the user.

Furthermore, I recommend hiring a professional developer or contacting your hosting support for a thorough site inspection. They can determine whether someone has hacked and compromised your site. Additionally, consider using a plugin like Activity Log. It allows you to see who’s making changes to your site.

I hope this clarifies your concern. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

it is definitely woocommerce gate. When disable woocommerce no spam registering are coming.

Please suggest which setting bby woocommerce should I use to avoid this.
Allow create account disable or so?

Standard role is subbscriber but spam registerings are customer which only can com from woocommerce

It seems something. with password reset to do because I get many mails with not delivery possible:

    Hi @jaroslawistok,

If the issue persists, you can temporarily disable registration through WooCommerce by going to your WooCommerce → Settings → Accounts & Privacy page. You can disable this option: “Allow customers to create an account on the “My account” page” https://prnt.sc/d7p8VqZXWzKB.

Additionally, you can consider an anti-spam plugin like Akismet or reCaptcha for WooCommerce.

Please let us know if this helps.
