    Hi.

Suddenly, the scan of one of my domains began to take too long and to be canceled after three hours.

I have followed some recommendations from the forum, such as scan stage at 20 (it was at 30) Enable debugging mode ....

It stays in "Malware Scan", "Content Security" and "Public Files" forever.

Until yesterday it wasn't like that.

    What is wrong?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi @vitodumas

Wordfence scans by default are allowed to run for three hours.

You can extend this to say six hours. Enter a value of 21600 in the scan option Time limit that a scan can run in seconds.

    Save the change.

If you are on a shared hosting plan then we do not recommend running a scan for more than six hours.

Also, don’t confuse the option above with the scan option Maximum execution time for each scan stage.

Understood. They are two different functions. In one case they are two digits and in another they are seconds.

    I will try that option.

    Thanks for answering.

    Hi @vitodumas

    Thank you for the update.

We have seen people sometimes confuse the two options and adjust the incorrect option.
