    Hello,?

All of my Product pages will suddenly not update when I try and edit. I just get the spinning dots that don’t resolve. This site has been up and running with the Divi theme and WooCommerce for more than a couple years without experiencing this problem.?I can edit Product pages on front end and Regular Pages update with no problem in back and front end.

I contacted Divi support and they were able to successfully update on their end. However, I contacted HostGator and they experienced the same problem as myself and pointed me towards WordPress for repair solution. WordPress experts were baffled.

I was able to remedy the problem for brief moments by adding and using new WordPress Users, but after one or two successful changes the problem would return.?

Here are some other troubleshooting efforts I’ve implemented with no success:?

    Cleared Browser Cache
Cleared The Static CSS File Generation In Divi
    Cleared Any Caching Plugin
    Re-Saved Permalinks
PHP, WordPress, WooCommerce and Divi are all current
    Checked For Plugin Conflicts?

I additionally rolled back WooCommerce with no success (and then returned to current version).

I know 120 PHP: max_execution_time is recommended for Divi theme, but I’ve been running at 60 for a couple years with no problems.?HostGator tested at 120 PHP: max_execution_time and problem still persists.?

    Thank you for your attention!

  • The same thing is happening to me on multiple sites. But it’s not about the Divi Builder loading its about saving (updating) the product after making any changes.

    Hi Daniel,

I saw the message from the moderator. I see that the last Fiverr expert who was unable to fix problem installed the Health check plugin. Presumably he knew how to use it and came up empty handed. So, where do we go from here?

    Thanks,

Do you have the same issue with all plugins except WooCommerce deactivated, and the Twenty Twenty-One theme active?

If not, reactive your theme. If the problem returns, the theme is causing it.

If it doesn’t continue with your theme reactivated, reactivate each plugin one by one until you find the cause.

I called WordPress Experts Live support

    Oh, and one more thing.

WordPress does not have phone support.

If you gave anyone your passwords over the phone, change them immediately!

    Hi James,

    1. I did not give login credentials to WordPress Experts Live support and they declined to take on the project. Thanks for the warning.

    2. I changed the theme to Twenty Twenty-One as you suggested and the product updated immediately! So, it is the Divi theme, correct?! Even though they claim it isn’t the theme because they can update product on their end. Again, Divi theme is causing the problem, correct?!

Thank you so much for your attention,

Yes, that would confirm, with absolute certainty, that the Divi theme is at fault.

    Hi James,

The problem is finally fixed and it was NOT the theme. Divi higher level tech support directed me to a ‘Must Use’ server side plugin called Endurance Page Cache – “This cache plugin is primarily for cache purging of the additional layers of cache that may be available on your hosting account.” Once I purged that cache, it fixed the issue. Yay!

Anyway, lesson learned and thanks again for your help!

    Moderator James Huff

    (@macmanx)

Ah, outstanding! That makes sense, most caching plugins clear the cache when the theme is changed.

Sorry for not thinking of that, and I’m glad they found a solution!
