After using Gutemberg, just one word : RUN, or AVOID, or QUIT, or ESCAPE…
I have no words to describe how sad I am.
WordPress WAS so smart, so usefull.
    WHY this WordPress suicide????
Better is enemy of good, and Gutemberg illustrate the suffering of Peter syndrome of the team.
And I look for another CMS…
R.I.P. WordPress ! We loved U so much!

  • You might want to check out the Classic Editor Addon plugin which is targeted at anyone who doesn’t want Gutenberg.

I am also toying with another CMS (Joomla) while I wait to see how Gutenberg is merged into core but the above plugin gives great peace of mind for anyone who has tried Gutenberg and prefers the Classic Editor. The Gutenberg team are working very hard on each release but, so far, it simply gets in the way of my writing unlike the Classic Editor. Hopefully this will change by the time it’s merged into core. I wouldn’t say RIP WordPress just yet. ??

Side note: I get the hyperbole but lose the tags like “gutemberg, peter syndrome, Suicide, wordpress”. I’ve removed them, please refrain.

These are WORDPRESS forums. Nothing here needs to be tagged with WordPress. ??

Exactly! Gutenberg balkanizes content, which makes content entry and creation with Gutenberg a clumsy affair.

Hi there @sylvie-aveline, and thank you for leaving a review on Gutenberg!

You give a lot of synonyms here, but not much to go on, I’d like to ask why you feel so strongly against Gutenberg after trying it out, were there something special in your testing that stuck out and made the new editing experience feel bad?

Are there features or aspects of Gutenberg you are excited for, anything you feel is an improvement on todays classic editor?
