• I have been reading through the forums trying to help when I get the “you do not have sufficient permissions” message, but they all say to disable plug-ins, and I can’t log in far enough to get to a page that will allow me to do that. I can edit my profile, but nothing else. If you can explain this to me as if I were a 5-year-old, I would really appreciate it. I have no idea what half the advice on this site means.

ALSO I tried updating and I have downloaded 3.4.1 but my site is not using it.

  • You should explain your problem a bit more detailed.

    Hi,

    WordPress is now 3.5.1
As you are 5 years old – are you sure your login is admin ? That you have permission with that username manage backend ?

@mollydechenne? Please do not create duplicate topics. That really makes it harder for us other volunteers to support you.

As mentioned above, you are running an old version of WordPress.

That may not have anything to do with your problem but may make it harder for us to provide specific fixes.

A little more information please: When you create or edit a post via https://unpopularbeforeitwascool.com/wp-admin/edit.php (a link which as you probably know works only for you) is that where you get the insufficient permissions message?

Edit: Also while it is tempting to leap at someone negatively take it from me please don’t. Really.
