I’m using Suffusion theme and want to change the first photo in a post. But when I change it, the tile on the home page does not change the image as it should.
The problem is in the “How to make probiotic Yogurt” post on https://www.diypics.com
Anyone know how I go about changing this? I already tried clearing my cache, so that’s not it.
    THnks

Make sure you are grabbing the url from the Media gallery and not from the image options.

    Done. No worky.
I’m in the process of deleting all the images in the post, then taking them down from the website and reloading everything. Don’t want to delete the post itself because I spent a bunch of time editing the translations.
    Argh!

What I see now is that you have the first picture in the post, and the featured image, and the thumbnail, ALL using the same image. Is that what you wanted?

Yep. Had to delete all the images from the server and start over. Sure would like to know why it didn’t work to simply specify the thumbnail image, though.
    Thanks immensely for your time!

The tile layout picks the image order from the settings for the “Magazine” template (Suffusion Options → Templates → Magazine). I know that this is not desirable and in fact it was unintentional – the tile layout will have its own image order in the next release.

Maybe this is what is throwing you off.

    smartyd: A pleasure to help.

Sayontan: Haven’t had an issue with it yet, but I’ll know to look there if I do. Looking forward to your next update with all of the new graphic features you’re working on.

The more I use the theme, the more I learn that I can do most anything. Very cool… thanks.

Thanks,Sayontan. Yes, this is a hugely useful theme!
One thing I couldn’t do (at my level of hacking) was to have the slider feature with a left and right sidebar. I imported a slider plugin, but would have preferred to use yours. Did I miss something that would have allowed me to do that?
    Thanks

Suffusion allows for its slider regardless of the sidebar layout. And it can be modified in so many ways that it’s difficult to find an outside one that is simple to use.

Just go back and check your setting, but I have done it on a dozen different layouts and it works fine

Hi this set of posts has some helpful info, may I ask a related question? Where do I look to post the URL I want for the image I want for my site main thumbnail (not sure if this is what it is called, new to this!) For example, if I post a link to my site in my facebook page, I’d like to have a certain image be the thumbnail that shows up. Sorry I cannot find this on my own! I do love the theme though, thanks so much Sayontan! I was pretty frustrated with this process until I found Suffusion! Great to be able to customize so much!

    @melanielowell,
I don’t think that is dependent on the theme. The integration between Facebook and your site has its own logic and FB pulls out thumbnails based on certain parameters, which are not controlled by the theme.
