I am having a problem with the single sidebar template of Suffusion (both L and R). When I use this template the whole page, ie. both wrapper and sidebar, come out really narrow (something like 625px wide – the normal width of all my pages is set to 1000px).

I have tried in the WP CP under Suffusion > Templates to set the Single R Sidebar (or L Sidebar) to the same dimensions as the rest of my page (1000px wide), but nothing happened, and the page using the Single R (or L) Sidebar template still came out at only 625px wide.

Take a look at this page (I have temporarily set it to Single R Sidebar template): https://www.9liveslanzarote.com/links/

    Can anybody help?

  • There is a solution posted on this thread: https://www.aquoid.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2684&p=12221#p12221. Check out the second page in the thread.

    Thanks for that! That worked!

As for the other question I have, using only Sidebar 2 as the default sidebar in the Single Sidebar template, found an answer on the Aquoid forum too, so I am going to check out Widget Logic now…

Hi, I’m having this same problem on my site: https://www.catherine-alexandra.com and I simply can not get any of the fixes cited here to work. I am so stumped, can someone please help?

I am trying to do the most basic of setups. Just one sidebar on the right. I have followed all the instructions. Not sure what to do to get this sidebar to show up.

Looks like you made inappropriate modifications to footer.php to get your credit in there. If you deleted a call to one of the theme’s functions from your file that will prevent the sidebar from showing up.

I had a feeling that might be it! I tried to get my info in there and messed up the formatting of the original footer info and couldn’t find out how to restore that (I should’ve copied the code in notebook prior to saving). So when I couldn’t find an easy to revert back, I found other code on WP forums for footer and evidently this messed everything up.

Can you please send me the footer code? I would like to fix this and I absolutely believe in giving proper credit where it is due, so this would be much appreciated.

The easiest way for you is to download a copy of the theme from https://www.ads-software.com/extend/themes/download/suffusion.3.8.1.zip, then unzip the file and pick up whatever you need. This is a method that works for all themes in the repository.

Thank you so much for the quick reply on that, Sayontan! It worked perfectly. Hats off to you, friend!
