I have several sites backing up to the same SugarSync account. This has been working for months. Starting today, I’m getting SugarSync API: cUrl Error: SSL read in my logs.

I checked the To: SugarSync tab for the jobs, and they show SugarSync is authenticated. However, for Sync folder selection, it shows cUrl Error: SSL read. I’ve deleted authentication and reauthenticated to no avail. My SugarSync account looks fine as far as I can tell.

    Hi,

please check that your provider supports trusted SSL connections. It could be that our plugin can’t get a trusted connection to SugarSync.

This started happening suddenly (within the last few days; I first noticed it yesterday) and on several hosts: Bluehost, Hostmonster, GoDaddy, ProHosting. These sites have been backing up to SugarSync without issue for several months. So, I don’t believe it’s an issue with the host.

Please let me know how else I can help troubleshoot.

Same problem with me. Upto 10th May, backup to SugarSync had been perfect,
but on 14th May the problem happened suddenly. (thru 11th – 13th, no backup jobs given to SugarSync)

After posted the above message of mine, I checked Sync folder selection and noticed cUrl Error: SSL read:error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0), errno 104 message disappeared. Then, I tried to run a backup to SugarSync, and noticed that the job was done without problem.

    Hi Toshiyuki,

maybe the error was on SugarSync. Our Plugin depends many things to work. That’s why we have such problems to get many errors solved.
