• Hi,

love this plugin and the preset featured image functionality!

This however still requires me to make a list of images and match them to tags. What I would like to have is a functionality that automatically adds an image to a post if the imagename exactly matches the (first) tagname.

So if I have an image uploaded called “Lorem” and I add a new post which has “Lorem” as one (or the first) of its tags then the image called “Lorem” is set as the featured image.

Would that be something to consider? Or are there any other plugins that do this?

Hi rutgert, did you mean the title of the image or its file name?

And what is the “first tag”? Normally the tags are sorted alphabetically.

So the trick could be just to write only one tag name and save the post. The plugin would take this tag to find an matching image. After that you would add all other post tags and save the post. Ok?

Hi Hinjiryo thanks for your rapid reply. Yes, filename of image would be best (without the .png/.jpg extension). Your process of first one tag would work. Is this something that could be added to the plugin?

Yes, it it possible to add this. I will publish an update of the plugin soon, and then I have other works to do, so please be patient ?? Maybe in two or three weeks I can implement this.
