Suggested feature: DFI by category!

  • Hi. I have a short idea and do not need a reply. I really like your DFI plugin. In my wildest dreams, you could enhance this to offer a different DFI for any/all categories in the site — not only standard posts, projects, etc., but also for custom post types. That would give us SO much flexibility! This would be a lot of work, I’m sure, but perhaps would be a feature worthy of a “Pro” edition of DFI. Thanks for considering!

    Hi,

    When I created this plugin 10 years back I intentionally didn’t added a UI for these type of things.
    I was afraid it would get bloated and confusing. Should CPT take prio over tags? And what about categories and sub-categories?
    The answer to these type of questions are all very opinion based.

    I have several code snippets that can do all these in the FAQ.

    Maybe I’ll expend in the future. But I don’t have anything planned short term.
