Suggestion

It would be nice if the link could be made to go to https://foo.com/user/bar rather then https://foo.com/author/bar.

I have bbpress installed and /user/bar shows the bbpress profile page.

EDIT: Oh bother, just found it. Add user_link=bbpress_memberpage like this [authoravatars user_link=bbpress_memberpage]
