That’s odd, given the plugin is just using WordPress’s own is_404() function to detect a 404, and I have no control over how WordPress decides what a 404 is.

There does appear to be a file missing, but I can see why you didn’t notice it. Your CSS file is making reference to a source map file that doesn’t exist (or the permissions for the file are such that it is inaccessible). The element inspector says:

DevTools failed to load source map: Could not load content for https://calleochonews.com/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/templates/language-switchers/menu-item/style.min.css.map: HTTP error: status code 403, net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE

If you look at this CSS file, at the end it has this:

/*# sourceMappingURL=style.min.css.map */

You have two options.

1) Delete that line of code from style.min.css (you don’t actually need it)
or
2) Upload the missing style.min.css.map file
