While trying (and failing) to absorb the Schema guidelines, I noticed that there is a markup schema for lists. https://schema.org/ItemList

This could be very handy, I think. Would it apply to objects like the list on the page I’ve linked? (Women go to the ladies’ together)

If so, here’s my ask: Do you think you could make a pre-set to insert the correct markup on a post? Ideally with a button on the editor toolbar, like the ones you use to add a link or media.

There are probably lots of other commonly occurring objects that could be enhanced like this, but reading that stuff makes me lose the will to live ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

This is probably more of a question / suggestion for the WPSSO Schema JSON-LD Markup extension https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wpsso-schema-json-ld/, but I can answer you here.

When editing a post / page, you should choose the Schema type based on the your content – If your content is about an item list, then that Schema type might be appropriate, but I can’t picture how someone would write about an item list – content subjects are usually about things.

If you want to create a list of things, then I would suggest using categories or tags – that’s how WordPress organizes content into groups, and WPSSO JSON will create the correct markup (as a “collection”) for category, tag, and custom taxonomy pages.

If you need to define additional Schema types / properties for sections of your content, then you may also consider using WPSSO JSON’s shortcode.

OK, thanks! I’ll have to figure out how to do that … maybe later ?? Good to know where I should be looking.
