  • Hi FixIt,

Thanks for downloading and using the plugin, much appreciated!

Also, thanks for the suggestions, I am always looking to improve the plug-in, however I would just like to clarify on a few however before I start working on the ones that are possible/deemed useful as I am confused slightly.

    – What do you mean by “enhanced” text, html, css, javascript?
    – What do you mean by “stats” and PHP as content. For security, I would never allow a user to add their own PHP/JavaScript inside my plug-in as the possibilities of attacks are endless.
    – Do not display title is already an option (just leave it empty).
    – Open URL in new window is possibly a good idea (however if its your own site is it needed?)
    – Again, I wouldn’t let any custom PHP/JavaScript be added in any fields.
    – The title and URL can be accessed already by custom CSS classes that you can setup in your theme.
    – If you would like the option button on the left side, just set the right value to something like 98%, which gives the same effect as it being 2% from the left.

    Future releases

    – Shortcodes have been talked about for awhile now, and is for the future, however it involves quite a lot of fundamental extra work on how the plug-in works so I can’t promise for the 2.0 release.

If you can clarify your suggestions slightly then I can definetely add them to the development list.

    Many thanks

    Hi Peter,

Primarily thanked to hear suggestions from users.

Say enhanced probably wasn’t a good idea, but rather maybe something trendy/modern pointing to something more attractive. Sorry for mix-up.

I agree, to support safety foremost. Regarding to add PHP/JavaScript functions, be like something similar widget functions, in my case, use to display banners servers from GameTracker, or sponsor image linked to site, plain text and so forth.

Regarding menu button, is that how you explain, but button it move when browser window shrinks or expands. Probably something i’m doing wrong.

So, this plugin it great, say Peter many thanks for sharing, and improve it.

    Regards
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

Apologies, I didn’t realise it was my new Argentian friend who posted that last message!

The design can be edited alot with the colour schemes to make it trendy/modern, check out my site, I think it is quite a good example of how it can be used. You don’t have to stick with the boring default grey ??

The ability to inject custom HTML might not be a bad idea actually, however I wouldn’t allow JavaScript I’m afraid, I’ll take a look into that one for you, and maybe the use of shortcodes in this section!

If you could try to explain a little more about the button moving when the window shrinks or expands or if you are able to give me an example I’d be more than happy to look at this for you!

Always a pleasure to help Daniel and keep on providing suggestions!

    Many thanks

    Peter

    Hi Daniel,

I hope you are well my friend!

I have added an option in the BETA 2.0 version with an option to include custom HTML above or below links for banners/advertisements as you suggested

I would love if you could test this out for me to see if you can discover any bugs and if it works correctly for you.

You will need to deactivate and delete the old plugin, then upload the new version using Upload from Zip file, which you can download from below:

    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/responsive-menu.2.0.zip

You should then have the version 2.0 beta which would be great if you could test.

    Many thanks

    Hi Daniel,

Great to hear from you and I sincerely hope you are ok now?

We are in fact already on to version 2.1 now which includes shortcode support and many bug fixes that were introduced in the 2.0 release as it was a complete re-write of the code base.

I hope you continue to improve in health and let me know if you need anything.

    Many thanks

    Peter
