Suggestion: image size choices

    Thanks for the suggestion! This would really fit neatly in the perfomance update of version 2.3.0. I’ve placed it on the project board to get back to when building the update.

    Thanks for considering this. I use the Image Widget plugin as well and it features that selector. Makes sense if WP crunches the images and leaves you with various versions, why not use them? I’m using two sizes of slideshows that are proportional, so i’m using the large images for both, but scaling down for the smaller slideshow, based on the size of the slideshow. Images would load faster if they were smaller to begin with. Thanks.

    Indeed and it’s a much easier solution than I was originally planning to do. My plan was to build an engine to keep track of slideshow sizes to adjust the images to, which is a pretty difficult thing to do on responsive websites.
