Suggestion: Specify which icons can be selected.

  • It would be handy for admin to be able to limit the icons which can be selected when creating a field.

    Use Case: Field that allows you to add a social media link could benefit from showing the appropriate social media icons.

    Agreed. Not sure when this feature will make it in, but I’d like to see it in too.

    It would great to be able to limit the Pro icon sets once it’s out of beta.

    e.g. Only select the Solid, Regular or Light sets.

    I think that is a good suggestion. Not just to let developers force users to choose the right set, but also as a performance optimization to exclude weights that aren’t being used.

    You may both be interested in 3.0.0-beta3. I’ve added a new ‘custom icon set’ builder that lets you define a limited set of icons to use in a field. Best of all you can define multiple sets of icons in this way and use different sets with different fields.

    Additionally FontAwesome v5 fonts can be limited by the 4 built-in set types (Brand, Solid, Regular, Light)
