    Suggestion to develop the plugin

    Welcome. This plugin is very good, I like to use it, but it really lacks a feature.
    When you check for youtube video links, it does not indicate if the video has been deleted from the youtube server.
    I’m linking thousands of videos to a themed page from the youtue page and can’t see which video I need to unlink.
    I miss this feature very much. This development would fit exactly into this extension.
    (there is a “deleted youtube video” plugin but it has not been supported, updated or done for many years as it advertises itself, so it cannot be used)
    I hope they can resolve my request in the next update.

    Hi @hobbiasztalos,

    Have you tried going to Settings > Link Checker and enter YouTube API Key in there, does it detect deleted videos for you after that?

    Unfortunately, creating and entering the API key did not resolve the issue. Videos that have been deleted or blocked in our region will not be listed.

    I checked this at my end and confirmed the plugin is not detecting blocked or deleted YouTube videos as broken. I have brought this to the notice of the developers to check the possibility of implementing this as a feature. They will be looking into this as soon as possible.

    We have an update on this, it should work full URLs. If you are using shortened URLs, can you please try using the full URLs of the YouTube video?

    Thank you for helping. Unfortunately, I don’t know what a short url is and what a long url is on youtube. I use what youtube player shows up on. I have posts from thousands of videos, it is unacceptable for me to rewrite this to another url.

    We do understand you, and our team is already working on a fix to detect such URLs out of the box, and hopefully, this will be fixed in a future release.

    At the moment, I’m afraid the issue as stated was due to the shortened URLs and for the time being, it can only detect the full URL of youtube video correctly.
