    Just like one plugin to convert images to webp
    Choice the quality
    Same name with new extension
    And delete and replace the original in the posts

    That will be great, at least as option

    Hello,

    this plugin will never replace anything in database, so there will be never any replacement of extension directly in the pages or posts.

    There are many other plugins doing exactly this and there is always some problem with CSS images or other stuff.

    This plugin is using different approach to make it works everywhere.

    There is also already an option to delete original images.
