• Good Day,

I have a couple of suggestions for your plugin’s Preload feature:

    1. Please update your documentation to show “https” instead of “http” when setting up a Preload cron.
    2. Please add a progress bar and/or counter beneath (or next to) the Preload setttings section of your plugin to give users a clear confirmation that the website’s pages are being preloaded.

Until Item 2 above is implemented, how can I confirm that your Preload feature is working properly after I set up the feature with a manual cron (i.e., the cron that you provided)?

    Thank you!

Here’s another suggestion for Item 2 above:

In your plugin’s Options page, create a new tab labeled “Logs“, then create two sub-sections labeled “Cache Log” and “Preload Log” within the “Logs” tab. Afterwards, delete the “Show Logs” link and transfer the function to the “Cache Log” tab. (details)

    Makes sense?

    Cheers!

    1. Done
    2. The cache statistics can give you an idea of ??whether preload is working or not. Actually, in my opinion, preload should be run manually with cron job.

    Hi Emre,

    Thank you.

Concerning, Item 2, I am running a manual cron but nothing is showing up in the log. I have other means to find out if the cron is running, but your plugin does not provide any indicators, hence the reason for this request. It would be an invaluable tool if you do.

If you believe your cache log shows that info, please provide sample screenshots showing what the log entries for preload look like.

    Cheers!

    Helpful:

This confirms the cronjob I set up for your plugin’s preload function is working great. The cronjob is set to fire every 2 minutes. Confirmed via Wordfence’s “Live Traffic” feature.

Above is the type of information I would expect to see in your plugin’s logs. It’s not recording nor capturing any preload events — only clear cache events.

    Cheers!

    very creative solution ??

It’s a temporary solution since not everybody uses Wordfence.

When do you think the above will be introduced into your plugin? ??

    Thank you!

I can add a hook for it. I will think about it and let you know.
