Suggestions for a mulitple-list, multi-item page

My goal is to make a single page (for now) that is a list of produce, with a picture and some text for each item. I would like a spot above the table (or list) that allows users to click a specific item, like squash for example, and the page would auto-scroll down to that item. I would also like “Back to Top” at various spots on the page.

I also want to easily be able to add items to this alphabetical list and not have a major headache keeping everything “in order”.

Can I just use HTML? Is the basic WP set up enough to get this done?

Or, do I have to go with a plug-in?

I’m WEAK with CSS, FYI.
