suggestions for member page with searchable database?

  • Hey kids,

    I’m thinking of putting together a bit of a project for my mates mum’s rural school, where the kids parents can login then be presented with their kid’s reports that’ll be saved as PDFs.

    Have been looking at the hundreds of member plugins for WP but none of them really cater for what I’m after here? Need a plugin where the logged in user can be redirected to their own page with relevant PDFs..

    Ideas? Cheers!

    I’ve found a plugin called ‘WP Publication Archive’ where I can easily upload the PDFs as they are available and organise them into categories. Yay!

    Now I need a members plugin where it can link to the specific members page after they log in. My plan then is to include that particular members “WP Publication Archive” category so it’ll then show the list of pdfs.

    Does anyone know of a plugin like that?

    Why not just alter the author.php file and use a plugin like Peter’s Login Redirect to redirect to the author’s profile?
