• I’m not sure if it’s ok to post this topic here, so apologies if not.

Ever since the new owners took over, there have been a host of problems that make this plugin not functional – just look through through the support threads, I’ve already posted several times. It’s made me stay on 2.15.15 ever since, every time I dare to update, something new breaks and I have to revert back.

These new owners are also completely absent on these threads or support.

I’m just tired of this previously reliable plugin not working any more. And I don’t see any hope for improvements or a future for this plugin.

Has anyone switched, thought of switching, or have recommendations for a new sermon plugin?

My biggest concern is portability, we have over a thousand sermons going back several years, and I don’t want to go in and tweak all of them.

    Thanks for your help.

    Steven,

I am actually part of the new management team. The old plugin had a lot of issues we were not aware of. My team has spent a lot of time redeveloping the old plugin. When WordPress came out with its new update we discovered that there were many aspects of the old plugin that were deprecated. We continue to work daily to address issues and will continue to support this plugin.

Steven, I was already using a second sermon manager on one of my websites. When the issues you describe cropped up, I hung around for about a month waiting for some normalcy to occur with Sermon Manager. Eventually I went ahead and migrated my other site that was using this manager over to the second manager. While it was a bit painful to have to recreate the entries in the other manager, but I am certainly happy now. The other manager also offers hooks to create some modifications to the layout in a fairly easy way. The manager I am using now is Advanced Sermons.

Advanced Sermons offers both a free and paid version. In my two church sites I have been able to make the free version work nicely.

I am in no way associated with the plugin Advanced Sermons. I am simply answering the question presented. I hope this plugin (Sermon Manager) will find a new, solid footing, but for me, waiting for that to happen was just frustrating.
