    Shipping classes:
    – Give warning to say that you cannot save the shipping classes being set up, if the shipping classes don’t have a name yet assigned
    – Better still, enable to save whatever has been entered so far
    – Once all classes have been entered, please don’t alpha-num sort. Leave it as an option. But also allow to sort in order of date/time created
    – Also enable sorting by slug name (my slugs = the line number of the spreadsheet l am copying my data from)
    – Also allow characters like > < these are essentials (Edit: maybe they do display. In this actual editor right here, they don’t display but when l click send, l see them)
    – It’s time now, for computers to know that 2 is lower than 12, and therefore should not appear after 12 in any alphanum sorting. It is time for that now, l think.

    Shipping method:
    – Follow through with the ordering of the listed shipping classes in the Shipping method window, as they have been sorted in the Shipping classes tab i.e. in order of time created, alphanum order of name, alphanum order of slug name, and so on.
    – Free shipping should display all of the shipping classes so that you can assign free shipping for any shipping class for that zone being worked on. Why ever not?

    Hey woowoo101,

Since WooCommerce is an open-source project you can contribute your suggestions directly to the project here:
    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/new/choose

You’ll see sections there specifically for Enhancements and Feature Requests.

I also added a new issue already for the first point you mentioned about when a shipping class name hasn’t been entered. You can follow that issue here if you’d like:

    Thank you. I don’t have a GitHub login ??

All of my issues were real, but thanks for acknowledging the first one at least.

Let me explain my situation: I’m coming from an existing online marketplace. Therefore l have a vast kitbag of shipping policies, which l’ve transferred to a spreadsheet, and am reading off the spreadsheet.

I have given each policy a slug based on the row number of the spreadsheet.

What does WooCommerce go and do?

It calls them shipping classes, and no matter what order you input them, it arranges them alpha num by nickname. Because it felt like it. Forget going by slug name or whatever (ie. spreadsheet row name, as l am reading off a spreadsheet and naming my slugs after spreadsheet rows). Woo has decided to alphanum sort by nickname. And it doesn’t even do that properly. As far as Woo is concerned, Nickname “4kg bla bla bla” comes AFTER “12kg bla bla”, “20kg bla bla”, “30kg bla bla”.

And when l go to the Shipping Method window, this foolhardiness really bites me. It invites costly mistakes when transcribing data from a spreadsheet to Woo’s shipping interface. All because somebody decided you wanna arrange shipping classes alphanum ascending (can that person give me an interest free loan of £10k by the way? No? They are just there to decide l want to sort classes alphanum? Ok got it.).

    – HERE IS ONE MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR SUGGESTION: SHOW ALL ZONES (with associated Shipping Methods in a box, as Woo already does) AVAILABLE (+ CHECK BOX FOR THE ONES USED) VIA SHIPPING CLASS VIEW, similar to how Shipping Methods list all avalable shipping classes via Shipping Method view.

Please add that to GitHub. It doesn’t matter who adds it to GitHub does it? ?? But for any royalties for these cool suggestions … we can negotiate ??

Edit: by the way, please don’t mark a thread as solved on my behalf, let me decide that, bro ??

    More suggestions:
    – When selecting zones, we need a BIGGER window
    – When zone has been selected, we need a drill-down series of windows showing constituent countries and small areas within each country, with checkboxes next to each. By default they are all checked. We uncheck them if we want to exclude some.
