Summarising blog post not working

  • I am using the same theme Twenty Sixteen at two sites:

    https://www.hekwos.no

    https://hekwos.wordpress.com/

    I set them up identically, but in the one with it’s proper domain name the posts do not form a summary. I have already taken care to mark for summarising on the blog post page on both sites. How can I make my https://www.hekwos.no show a summary of blog posts?

    In both websites I have set a static page and a blog feed page.

  • The Twenty Sixteen theme does not have an option for showing excerpts, so I don’t understand what you are saying “I have already taken care to mark for summarising on the blog post page”.
    Perhaps wordpress.com has a different option or a different version of Twenty Sixteen.
    Don’t confuse the Posts page with the RSS feed. There are options for both on the Settings > Reading admin page. The option on that page for Full text or Summary is for the RSS feed, not the front end of the site.
