• It’s not very customizable. I have a full on black background on my event description page and I don’t have a black background anywhere, in fact, I had black font.
    Easy to read!!!!
    I can’t stand this event plugin. I’ve been frustrated and felt like my hands were tied at every turn.
    It’s probably excellent if you upgrade to pro but I’m just starting this project and I don’t have a budget so this plugin is definitely not for someone who isn’t ready to pay for an event plugin.

  • Hey there @socialdzine,

    Oh gosh, so sorry to hear that the design was all out of whack!

    Sounds like what we have here is a conflict between the CSS on the site with the CSS in the plugin. I can assure you that the plugin is extremely customizable and that we can help you get a light colored font on the black background — and it defintely won’t require an upgrade to do it.

    If you’d be willing to shoot us a link to the calendar, we’d be happy to take a look at it with you — there are several different ways the plugin allows you to adjust the appearance and we can help suggest the best way.

    For example, to change the background color of the calendar, you could add something like this to the CSS:

    #tribe-events-pg-template, .tribe-events-pg-template {
      background: #fff; /* white */
    }

    But, again, if you can provide a link for us, we can take a look and give you something a little more concrete. In the meantime, here’s an overview of the various ways that the display of the calendar can be customized:

    (specifically, the “Customizing Style” section)

    Thanks,
    Geoff
