Super light and easy to use

  • Meow Gallery easily displays your galleries using the standard WordPress media library. I switched to using the Meow Gallery and Meow Lightbox after using NextGen Gallery Pro for several years. I have tested Envira gallery as well, and I prefer the combination of Meow Gallery and Meow Lightbox due to simplicity and performance.

    I like the photos being in the default WP media library so other plugins can easily find them, and my website performance has definitely improved since switching from NextGen Gallery to Meow Gallery and Meow Lightbox.

    A great benefit with using the Meow Gallery is it works with the standard default galleries coding and media library in WordPress. This means, if you disable or decide to stop using the plugin, your galleries will still show in your post content, just the styling provided by Meow Gallery will not be there. Your photos will still be in the media library and accessible. This is definitely not the case with NextGen Gallery.

    I really like the tiles and justified layouts.

    I wish there were additional options related to the thumbnail aspect ratio in a grid. Right now the only grid option is a 1×1. You can change this via css, but a gallery option would be great.
