super slow checkout

  • Hi there,

    I have my site all set up and my problem is the checkout takes a long time (up to 1 minute).

    – I have no other speed issues
    – I have a 95/100 rating at pingdom
    – I tried it with a simple install of wordpress with only the woocommerce plugin and the problem still exists.
    – I tried several themes (including wootique and woochop lite) and still the same problem.
    – Tried desabling all email notifications and the problem remains.

    Tested it with the browser console and it hangs on admin-ajax.php request for a really long time. The actual time for the loading of the thankyou page is ok (under 3 seconds), but it hangs a load of time on admin-ajax.php before starting to load the thank you page.

    I’m kind of desperate because I have it all setup fine and a 1 minute checkout is really an awful thing.

    If someone can please shed some light on this problem I would be very thankful!
