• I was delighted to find this plug-in as it satisfies my need exactly. I used to publish pages and notify friends via Jetpack’s publicize, and then the SNAP auto posting tool, to a Facebook page. But having to use Facebook was completely at-odds with the original reason behind my website – keeping some privacy and control over our content.

This plug-in fills the gap between allowing people to subscribe with their email address, and notifying them of new content without the concern about whether a content-sorting algorithm will display the notification in someone’s new feed.

Extremely easy to use, was set up in 5 minutes thanks to the useful video intro.

    Highly recommended. Many thanks!

Thanks Steve! Your case sounds very interesting. Do you have any demo you could show? Is the subscription form custom made?

    Hi Kuba,

Unfortunately I don’t really wish to share the sign-up page as it would reveal the site I’m trying to keep private ??

I just modified the registration form with some additional text to explain that email is the only notification mechanism. If a user doesn’t want to be notified by email, then they are basically disinterested, so free to leave/deregister their account at any time.

This kind of simplicity seems lost in today’s OAUTH2.0 world. Maybe I’m just old school…

    Cheers,
    Steve
