• All the websites I’ve built focus on images, so in the course of the past 12 years or so I’ve been working with many different galleries. The free versions always have some limitations, mostly for adding text. If you want to be able to control when, where and how descriptive texts, title, links are shown, this plugin is superb. It offers different types of galleries, all of them you can tweak in many ways, giving you lots of control also on the appearance and style. While creating your gallery you can use the ‘preview’ function to check how your gallery looks with the different types (thumbnail, mosaic, masonry, columns…). So no need to insert it in a page/post first. Once you get the hang of the two levels of settings (default vs custom settings for a specific gallery), the plugin allows very efficient handling of galleries. Also a plus: you can adapt settings for a specific gallery directly from the page/post where it appears. All in all: lots of possibilities and very easy to adapt to your requirements. Highly recommended.
