This previous post was marked “Resolved” – it is NOT.
This issue was said to be fixed in the next update.

“Apologies for the delay and thank you for the report. We will be fixing the issues mentioned here in our next release of the add-on.”

That was 8 months ago. The Add On is still version 1.0. Hello?

I can not import any data and publish as a listing as see it show up in the front end of Superlist. All listings end up in the backend.

I paid $$$ for the WP All Import Pro version and this has never worked properly, and now does not work at all.

I tried setting the Feature Flag On and Off, also via custom fields both ways (On and 0).

I have tried with with the “Featured listings on TOP” feature enabled and also disabled.

I have tried to bulk manually update, bulk change Post Type, bulk add categories, bulk make pending and then make published again, etc, all in order to try and make the icons/listings visible on the frontend, but it does not help.

I tried bulk import set to draft status, then bulk publish, but does not make a difference.

Do not ask me to install Superlist on a debug website with all the required Map API in order to test this. Please confirm for yourself.

Please test and fix this plugin asap.

If ANYONE here is making the Superlist Add-On work please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Hi @quantumk

I apologize for the delay and the frustration. We do still plan on resolving these issues in the next update, and we plan to push an update soon. I will ping you in this thread once we release it.

Thank you for your reply. But, how about letting me have the beta plugin? Or, give me something, a hot fix, some php code to use for now? I don’t want to wait months for an update that is already so long overdue.

    When is the update due?

    Hi @quantumk

Unfortunately, we don’t have a beta or a hot fix right now. However, we should have the updates ready sometime this week or next week.

    Hi @quantumk

We have a beta ready for testing: https://d.pr/qZvhjY. Please let us know how it goes.

    Thanks @wpallimport!

I deactivated the Superlist Add-On and tried to install via WPAdmin >>> Plugins >>> Add New >>> Upload Plugin >>> selecting the file you gave me.

    But, the install fails.

    “Destination folder already exists. /nas/content/live/kitetripadv/wp-content/plugins/import-xml-csv-listings-to-inventor-wp/

    Plugin installation failed.”

Is there anything specific I need to do to install this beta?

Thanks so much for getting this to me!

    Hi @quantumk

You’ll need to delete the old plugin from your site so that the folder is removed, then install the beta.

    (@quantumk)

I renamed the previous folder, and the Superlist Add On beta installed properly. I can see the following changes have been made, adding options for

    Google Map
    Google Street View
    Google Inside View

to the Banner Type options. This is great!

However, the listings imported still do not show up on the front end google map. Do you understand the nature of this bug? Previously, the bug had something to do with the featured flag. But, now it does not matter. No imported listings now get published to the frontend. Imported listing are visible on the backend only. I reported this initially here:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/featured-flag-is-required-to-frontend-publish-google-streetinside-view-fail/

    Hello Eric,

I’m using WP-ALL IMPORT plugin to import the listings as recommended with the INVENTOR add-on. everything got imported without any issues, however the listings don’t show up at the front-end no matter what i do even though they show up just fine at the back end. they show up at the front-end only if i manually clicked on “Update” from within the listing itself, not from outside so even the bulk updating is useless. i have like 4 k listings and there are even more to be imported and going through updating them one by one is soooo painful.

Tried to spot the difference between the ones that show up at front end and the ones that don’t in the database, but there was nothing odd. I tried to search for a solution all day long but non of what i found fixed the problem. tried bulk updating as its explained over here:

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7917725/update-all-wordpress-posts https://kakoma.ug/code/2013/09/wordpress-tutorial-update-posts-category https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/127632/how-to-update-all-post-at-once
but nothing fixed the problem. is there any kind of hidden fields that gets assigned to the listing by wordpress after clicking update ? or does it gets moved to another table to be visible on the front-end ?

any help is so much appreciated, thanks in advance

    UPDATE:

after some testing and loads of testing imports, i figured out that if i only assigned “Flags” for each imported record as “Featured” during the process of importing with WP-ALL-IMPORT the listings appears both on the frontend and backend.

However, if i didn’t assign the “Flag” part in WP-ALL-IMPORT at all, or if i clicked “No” for Featured flag, or if i clicked on YES or No for the Reduced Flag listings appear only on the backend, and disappears on the frontend “note:that it gets displayed at the Recent Listings but not in the Listings Archives under any types or category”.

So, basically its something related with the Flags during importing listings with wp-all-import.Any ideas how to fix it ? Thanks.

I also posted about this bug in the Superlist support forum here:

    https://pragmaticmates.ticksy.com/ticket/1143711/

Do you understand the bug as I am describing it? Is this beta supposed to address this bug? Can you reproduce this issue where imported listings fail to publish on the frontend?

    Thanks!

    Hi @quantumk

Yes, this patch is supposed to address this, and no I can’t reproduce the issue. I tested this (and just now re-tested it), and my listings are showing up on the front end, both in the Listings widget and in the Google Map widget – regardless of whether they’re set as “Featured” or not.

Superlist/Inventor is very complex and it’s possible that we’re using completely different settings and seeing different things. We’ll really need to take a look at your settings/data and see the issue in action to fix this. Can you please open a support ticket at https://www.wpallimport.com/support/ about this issue and specifically request to talk to Trey? He will work with you directly to get all of these issues ironed out so that we can release a new version of the Inventor add-on ASAP.

We have released a new version of the Inventor add-on with fixes for these issues. Marking this as resolved.
