    Hello folks,

We have just released SuperPWA 1.8 and we have resolved all compatibility issues we had with OneSignal.

Here is what you need to know:

    • If you are not familiar with OneSignal, it is a free and awesome WordPress plugin that lets you send push notifications from your WordPress blog.
    • Users who use your PWA will receive the push notices in their notification drawer.
    • Clicking the notification will open up the PWA. Sweet!
    • Your manifest generated by SuperPWA has to be added in the OneSignal settings, here is our integration guide to send push notifications with OneSignal.
    • Multisites using OneSignal are not compatible yet. This will come in the future. If you are a multisite user using OneSignal, please let us know that you need the feature so that we can prioritize.

We have written up a release post with the story behind this release and all the other new features. You can find it here: Push Notifications are Here! Again!

We are eagerly awaiting your feedback. Please let us know what you think!

Thanks for the love, support and patience. We wish you good luck!

Still no iOS push notification support? Is this being worked on or will not happen anytime soon? Is there another WordPress PWA plugin out there that can accommodate MU and/or iOS push? Thanks.

@ehong33234 Push is handled by OneSignal. As far as I know, iOS doesn’t let you send push as Android. It’s an OS restriction.

I followed the procedure described, but …
do I have to configure the one signal API or not?
the user has to click on onesignal’s bell to activate the notifications is right?

    Thread Starter Arun Basil Lal

    (@arunbasillal)

@scherillonet Yes, you have to configure OneSignal separately, please refer to their docs.

And correct, they have to click the bell ??

    Thanks @arunbasillal ,
I thought it was enough to download the app generated by SuperPWA to activate notifications ..
now I’m fighting with the configuration of SuperPWA (and onesignal) for IOS

@scherillonet Upon iPhone you cannot notice any push notifications as iPhone is not supporting Push Notifications API till this time.

As for setting up OneSignal for iOS please refer this article

Hi, is the multisite integration ready to use yet? Thank you.

    Hello guys,

Is the SuperPWA + OneSignal plugin already supported in multisite?

My site is in multisite and I have OneSignal in a subdomain, and I would like to use SuperPWA in this subdomain along with OneSignal, and I would also like to use SuperPWA on the main site (without OneSignal).

    Thank you,
    Rodrigo

    Hi,

I installed SuperPWA2.2 version, but cannot find any option for the push notification integration.

Could you guide how to enable push notifications using onesignal?
