    Hello folks,

We have just released SuperPWA 1.8 and we have resolved all compatibility issues we had with OneSignal.

Here is what you need to know:

    • If you are not familiar with OneSignal, it is a free and awesome WordPress plugin that lets you send push notifications from your WordPress blog.
    • Users who use your PWA will receive the push notices in their notification drawer.
    • Clicking the notification will open up the PWA. Sweet!
    • Your manifest generated by SuperPWA has to be added in the OneSignal settings, here is our integration guide to send push notifications with OneSignal.
    • Multisites using OneSignal are not compatible yet. This will come in the future. If you are a multisite user using OneSignal, please let us know that you need the feature so that we can prioritize.

We have written up a release post with the story behind this release and all the other new features. You can find it here: Push Notifications are Here! Again!

We are eagerly awaiting your feedback. Please let us know what you think!

Thanks for the love, support and patience. We wish you good luck!

  • Hi,

I just installed SuperPWA and OneSignal,

and no add to screen push notification shows and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

These are the steps I did,

    1. change http to https. (I believe there’s nothing wrong about SuperPWA setup)
    2. I got App ID and REST API Key from Onesignal
    3. I left Safari Web ID empty
    4. and I enabled “Send notifications additionally to iOS & Android platforms.
    5. Advanced Setting –
    https://mywebsite.co.nz/superpwa-manifest.json
enabled Use my own manifest.json & Show status message after sending notifications.

Suspect area is OneSignal All Applications page.
PLATFORMS – it shows google chrome and mozillia firefox logos notthing to do with IOS , Iam trying to install pwa on my iphone.

Can any body help me what it is that iam doing wrong?

    (my iphone has safari setup)

    Thank you

    Hi guys, @arunbasillal @josevarghese

What about firebase? It is posible to use with the app?

    Thanks!

Sorry I am new to this and have a question…

So we have launched wordpress website and then also a web app that is now in the iOS and Play stores. The client would like to send push notifications to their members phones let say for an event they are holding.

Can we do this in wp-admin and send a global message using wordpress so when they go to their phone there is a notification. Either on the phone or a circle on the app with a number like on facebook for example.

If someone could help me out that would be amazing.

    Thanks in advance.

    Darren
