Installed Superslider Postsincat and am having a bugger of a time getting it going. It works well on the demo site but does not happen like that when you click “activate” and load the widget into the sidebar.

I copied the CSS into my own stylesheet and finally got it to format correctly, and according to my source code the mootools javascript is in the right location but the scripts are not working on the slider.

The FAQ says “there may be something wrong with your .htaccess file (mod_rewrite)” if you can’t view the css source code, but doesn’t say what to do if the javascript isn’t working – is that an .htaccess issue as well?

In case anyone has the same problem – the Superslider forums say to turn off the “nudger” in the Superslider base plugin admin options. (Which, by the way, you apparently need for all of the Superslider plugins to work). The “nudger” is code word for “Page Scroller”. I unchecked both the scroller and adding the css file for it and now it’s working.

    Hello intricateartist,
    I’ve just seen your post,
I don’t get an automatic mail saying someone posted at wordpress with the tag superslider.

Ok, You do not need the superslider-base plugin for the others to work.
    They each are stand alone.

How ever, it does look like the postin cat plugin is having some issues. I will get to work fixing them, and get back to you asap.

    Hello intricateartist,

I’ve just had a quick look, and it seems that with WP 2.8,
The superslider-postincat plugin doesn’t set the default options when you add the widget. This is from a change in the way widgets are handled in WordPress.
Be sure to select the option: Load css from postsincat plugin folder:
or if not be sure that there are the required css files here:
    wp-content/plugin-data/superslider/ssPostinCat/
as you have added the required plugin css to your theme css file (best option) , there would be no issues.

The java script files do load as expected and “work” as expected.
If you continue to have any issues, please let me know.
