• Purchased the Pro version on April 24th based on very strong recommendations from several authoritative figures. Built the site using OceanWP, everything was a delight to work with in general, with the exception that sometimes I would need to refresh the page in order to get passed “the preview could not be loaded” black screen.

After a few weeks of elementor updates the problem still persisted and the site still needed more work + my month was almost up for the 30 day money back guarantee.

I created a ticket on May 22th 2018 and to this day, I still am not able to load into the editor area. I’ve disabled all plugins leaving just the 2 elementor plugins, plus turned off Cloudflare (development mode).

And still the editor area won’t load…I keep getting the same message over and over. I’ve even reached out to my host (A2hosting) and they performed all of the changes requested by elementor but to no avail…Plugin won’t load the editing area.

I’ve given admin access to wordpress and c-panel…Very apprehensive about doing this. Load the site this morning and see that it was switched to the default wordpress theme…WTH? Check my last email to them…nothing…no updates…no communication. I run 3 brick and mortar businesses and I assure this is not the way I care for more customers…Ever.

The support has been terrible, slow, unresponsive (20 hours just to follow up with another question that was already answered in the support ticket thread). It absolutely baffles me that they don’t bother reading the thread about the problems that I’m experiencing with the plugin. The ticket keeps getting passed on to another agent who clearly is not bothering to familiarize themselves with the situation and prefers instead to ask me to answer them personally.

This results in a back and forth, until the next guy takes over and this fiasco continues…I’ve run out of patience, unless they fix this today…I want my money back!

  • Hi,

I can imagine this is very frustrating.

However, given the fact that there are 900.000+ users and 676 5 stars reviews, I am almost certain there is some third party factor(s) causing this.

I have 50+ sites, shops and e-learning running with Elmentor and Ocean WP and do not have this problem. Ofcourse that knowledge does not solve your problem, but it does seem to point you into another direction then just focussing on Elementor to blame?

Why do’nt you start and post all details here on the free forum see someone can come up with a solution?

I suppose you followed all these steps:
    https://docs.elementor.com/article/184-cant-edit-with-elementor

I had the issue with editor wont load the preview in a few sites, and it was fixed by switching the:

Use the option switch front-end editor loader method. You can find it in the settings of Elementor in your WordPress Dashboard (see the screenshot below). Enable this option and check if it solved the issue.

Do you have this same issue, when you create a brand new clean wordpress installation lets say to test it in a subfolder on the same domain?
