Support for Google / WP "AMP" plugin

    Plugin is awesome. With last version of WP, 4.3x your plugin didn’t appear in the BETA “AMP” (accelerated mobile…) “slim mobile” page built by plugin from Automattic for Google new mobile setup (they will start rolling out end of Feb, more officially) — we’re a bit bleeding edge due to being news publisher, so …

    anyway… with 4.4, it’s great the plugin now appears in the slim generated “AMP” version of post, but since AMP “trims” out any jscript or external elements, we get broken icons for the buttons.

    While it’s still bleeding edge, hoping you will add some fallback CSS or something for the AMP plugin since this will be big deal in couple of months. Ready to shoot you some tip jar moola ??

    note the/amp/ on end denotes it’s the “AMP” accelerated mobile version of the normal page ….

    Hmmm…. okay, a non issue I guess.

    On my desktop test I do just see the text boxes like [facebook] which works; it was only if I “resized” the /AMP/ page that it tried to refresh and load the icon elements and then drew the broken icons (testing in Chrome).

    Testing in MS Edge, initially it loads fine as [box name] — but then “on hover” it tries to load the icons and then gets broken icons.

    So, guess it’s picking up the alt tags ….

    so, simple “AMP ready” fix *might* be to remove the hover for AMP.

    Happy to help beta test this when/if you have a chance (or care) ??
