Support for MPN + Brand instead of GTIN

    Hi,

    I have the problem of missing GTINs for our products.
    We manufacture our own products, so there is no GTIN. Googles fallback strategy is the use of a combination of MPN and Brand. With this combination our products are registered in the Google Merchant center.

    We are using another review platform (Trusted Shops), that implements this functionality of product reviews based on the MPN + Brand combination too.

    Will you provide this option soon?

    Yes, we are looking into adding this new option.

    We looked into the possibility of using Brand + MPN to identify products for the product reviews integration.

    Unfortunately, it appears that the Google Customer Reviews survey opt-in does not yet support these fields.

    According to the integration documentation at https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7519329 (step 3) , GTIN is the only type of data that is accepted by their API.

    If Google ever expands this functionality on their end to enable this additional feature, we can definitely add it.
