    Hi! Some time ago i asked about the idea to translating web stories, but i don’t know if have support for Polylang and other free plugins

    Because i lost all my traffic from Google Discover in Brazil and i try to etsting webstories in other languages. With manual creating webstories, like this example. But in code shows portuguese language, and i try to setting this to English.

    Ok, i don’t know if Discover in USA or UK its shows my english webstories, but i can try too. I’m very frustrating about the October HCU update from Google, with kill all my traffic in Discover and i don’t have much motivation, but i create more webstories after october, because i like the format.

    And have over 4700 webstories created and published since i begin.

    So i need to request this on Polylang Forums? I asked because i don’t know about the “web stories listing” posts, if this its from webstories or the polylang attribution.

    In near time, any chances to get a option to change the languages in source code? like custom field or similar option.

    Please note that Web Stories does not do anything special or custom with translations. I suggest reaching out to Polylang about your setup

    Hi! Any chances to help about this? The Polylang support didn’t responds me until today, and i don’t have money to buy the WPML Plugin.

    How this its working? I don’t know if i only need to try to update plugin for myself, but for now i don’t have any PHP knowledge.

    The change translate its only a chage in lang=”pt-BR” code inside ? I see the language in Yoast schema graph, but i don’t know how this working.

    In traditional articles the polylang shows to create versions in other languages (in “plus” button), but in Web Stories listing don’t have this option.

    We can’t really help with Polylang-specific questions. That’s for the Polylang support forums.

    I can only reiterate that nothing special should be needed to publish stories in multiple languages. If you set up multiple languages in Polylang and write content in different languages, they should all have the respective language codes set. For that to work, you’ll need to enable support for the Web Stories post type in the Polylang settings and set the correct language for each story. That can be easily done via the “All Stories” list table.

    Again, for specific questions about Polylang usage and behavior. please ask Polylang.

    Yes, i only asked in this web stories forums because i don’t know if the all posts listing its from WordPress, Webstories or polylang owners/configuration. And the polylang free plugin don’t have any options or settings to custom posts.

    I will close this thread, because its more than one week the polylang didn’t responds =(

    And i don’t know how i do with this. My only alternative its create a entire new site (in subdomain) and set the general configuration to another language, if i uses the webstories for another language.

    EDIT: I found the configuration!!! But i need to change all stories manually to set the language for Portuguese, but its ok from me!

    Sorry for this thread. I was very sad about the current situation of my website, which has been banned from Discover since October. Since I didn’t make any content that went against Google’s policies.
