Support for Tracking Plugins

  • Hello there,

    I have tried different plugins for Google Analytics or Facebook Tracking that track conversions. For example Advanced WC Analytics or Woopt Pixel Manager.

    However the issue, that Quotes are also tracked as Conversion after Quote was sent. But it makes more sense to track it as Conversion when payment is done.

    Is this possible to implement?

    You mean to say that when a Quote request comes through from the front end, it is being tracked as a conversion?

    I agree that only orders whose payments have come through should be considered as conversions.

    In a scenario where the Quotes plugin is inactive and you place a WC order as pending payment (go to the Paypal page and then close the browser). In this scenario a WC order is created with the status Pending Payment. Is that order still considered a conversion?

    If yes, then the best place to look into this would be the analytics plugin itself.
    I understand that Goals can usually be setup in these plugins and you can monitor the actions performed on the front end. So maybe we can ‘tell’ the analytics plugin to look at the order payment status & then consider it a conversion?

    I’ve never worked closely with these plugins and it is possible that I might be looking at this wrong. So, if there’s anything that I can do at my end in the Quotes plugin, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help you.
