Support for Wishlist Member

Membership types should be available via the Roles option.

It shows the native roles but not the other membership types. There is a hook to get those membership types; where would I put them in the plugin code?

Hmm… then it’s probably not using the native WordPress role system. Which plugin is it exactly?

You would have to put in the code at several places. But upgrading the plugin would loose it again.

It is a commercial plugin called Wishlist Member. It does not use the native roles – you can actually use the native ones as well – and then set access to pretty much anything on the site based on those roles. You can create an unlimited number of roles. It is designed to create a “members-only” site or section of a site. The only thing I have found you cannot restrict access to is widgets.

Ok, got it. That makes it a bit more complicated. I did find some docmentation about API’s and hooks. But without the actual plugin it’s quite difficult to implement such a thing.

I assume you did ask the support staff of this plugin about the functionality?

I did ask the support people but have not heard back yet.

Just a thought, if you are interested, you could become an affiliate with Wish List Member and they may help promote you if you were to code this functionality into your plugin.

I agree that would be an option. But first I’d like to see an answer from the support staff about your query.

They said they actually have a plugin that has this functionality but I can’t get ahold of it right now for some reason. They said they are going to have it available soon.
