• I added a support request for an Error message received:
Error: In order for WP Google Maps to work, jQuery must be installed. A check was done and jQuery was not present. Please see the jQuery troubleshooting section of our site for more information.

The forum response was to contact the developer via support and they would send a plugin update or something to fix the problem.

Nick Duncan, the plugin developer, contacted me via Skype after he discovered the WordPress 4.3 update had some gremlins at work; Nick made an immediate fix on my site. He also released an update with the fix the next day.

I have 26 maps to date with over 300 markers and expanding an additional 280+ maps (in development). Great plugin; it met my needs and support expectations. Thanks Nick and Dylan!!!!!

    Hi Mike
The reason for the poor support was that I injured my back and have been unable to provide decent support. My other support member was also off sick and not at work. I am currently back at work and will look at this today. Sorry about that.

I received several emails tonight from Nick with very sincere apologies. We spoke by Skype after he fixed all of the issues. The personal visit was both business and personal. Thank you for the fix and your time to speak Nick!!!

The issues were a result of WordPress update to 4.3. Nick found the problem and is writing a release for all users today.

In short, the first delay was not acceptable; however, the follow up was within 24 hours from the August 17th email exchange.

I DO LOVE my WP Google Maps plugin and have already built 26 regional maps including over 300 markers. We will now begin adding detailed maps for each of 300+ individual locations.
