I am trying the free version of this plugin, and will upgrade to pro if it works well for us (as we would like more than 4 photos in each auction). However, I am struggling to find support as all links seem to end up referring to the WooCommerce version of the plugin, even on your own website https://auctionplugin.net/

    Am I missing something?

    The issues I have are:

    1. It is not forcing users to login to bid (we have “Allow users to bid only if logged in” selected.
    2. The auctions url only shows bids, and current price when a user is logged in
    3. When I am not logged in, I can access an auction, fill in my name, email and bid amount, but when I press bid, the screen darkens and I get the spinning wheel. I assume that it should not let me enter a bid and display a message asking if I’d like to login/register?

FYI, we use Elementor theme (just in case you are aware of any known issues when integrating your plugin with Elementor).

    Thanks

Thanks. Weirdly, the problems I reported now seem to work. I cleared my browser cache many times before contacting support, so is there some kind of back end cache? If there is, how do I clear that in future so I can see any changes immediately?

However, if I try to bid without being logged in, it does take me to the WordPress login screen, but there is no option to create an account, and no message to explain to the user that they need to create an account. Please see video.

    Hello gshiels,

When the “Only if they are logged in” option is enabled and any user tries to place a bid without login, it will redirect to the default login page of the WordPress site. Here we have not displayed the message for the login/register. But the plugin will automatically redirect to the login page. Every WordPress site has different configurations and different page slugs for the login/registration page. So, we have provided options to set the custom login and register page URL in the auction settings.

First of all, the user has to set up the login and registration form on their site. Set those page URLs into the below path of the Ultimate WordPress Auction plugin.

Go to Admin Dashboard -> Ultimate Auction -> Settings -> Auction -> General Settings -> Set the page for “Login Page URL” and “Register Page URL” -> Save Changes.
    Attachment – https://we.tl/t-bLy1wEkxim

After that plugin will redirect to the custom login/registration page which you have set into the auction settings. So, users will get an idea of whether they need to log in/register first to place a bid.

If the login/registration form is not set on your site, you can also use the third-party plugin to add the login and registration functionality to your site.

According to your previous query, we can not understand the issue clearly unless we see the issue in the video or on your site. But it’s good that your issue has been fixed now. If it will come again in the future, let us know. We will check it.

    Thank You

Thanks for your help. I’ve used the User Registration plugin and entered the login and register pages in the Auction Settings. When I am logged out and click the Place Bid button, it redirects to https://enfys.org/login/&wdm-bid-val=60 which gives an error message:

“This page doesn’t seem to exist.”

What am I doing wrong? The auction page is https://enfys.org/auctions/?ult_auc_id=734

    Thanks again.

    Hello gshiels,

We have checked the auction plugin functionality by adding the custom page URL for login or register. When the user tries to place a bid without login, the plugin will redirect to the custom login page. So, the admin can login to the admin site and place a bid on the auction. This functionality works with the default login page of WordPress only. If the admin has added the custom login page URL into the auction setting, then the plugin will not redirect to the proper login page. It generates the wrong URL.?

    For Example,

    Incorrect –?https://enfys.org/login/&wdm-bid-val=60
    Correct –?https://enfys.org/login/?wdm-bid-val=60

It is an auction plugin issue. We will fix it and update it in the next release of the auction plugin. We suggest that till then please use the default login page of WordPress. We will fix it soon.

Also, we recommend?you to use the Ultimate Auction for Woocommerce free plugin based on the Woocommerce plugin. It has more and better features compared to the Ultimate WordPress Auction Plugin.?

    Thank You

    Hi Nitesh.

Woocommerce will add unnecessary overhead as we don’t need an online store, just auctions. Do you know when you will be able to fix the auction plugin issue above please?

    Thanks
