  • It’s no longer supported. The version 3.3 deletes all the plugin files and breaks the functionality. Do you or anyone else still have the 3.2 version? I really need to get my website working again and i don’t have the archive with 3.2 version… damn it!

This is crazy!! I just found out that the entire plugin was wiped clean, there’s no way to retrieve the videos that were stored in this plugin! How can the developer just do that? Is there any way we can contact the developer? I’ve searched but haven’t found a way. Even his site is no longer up. I just don’t get it. This is ridiculous!

We’re currently running version 3.2. Can anyone confirm that 3.3 definitely wipes the plugin clean?

I can confirm the plugin is wiped on version 3.3. Do not update!

Alexis403: this is what i did. I downloaded version 3.2 from here https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/videogall.3.3.zip
Then i uploaded the files in wp-content/plugins and everything will be back as before. The part of the database used by the plugin is still there.

    Good luck!

Hi, so let me clarify…. The link you gave says it’s 3.3, are you sure this is 3.2? Also, I just tried to upload it in my WP dashboard, like I would normally upload a plugin and it said I already had the plugin installed, because of course I had previously updated to 3.3, so maybe you sent me the wrong version?

I am sorry! Yes, I sent the wrong version.
    This is the one:
    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/videogall.3.2.zip

Ok great, thanks. So should I delete the current version I have in my plugins before installing this one?

No, don’t delete the current version or you’ll lose the videos u already have in the database. Just overwrite the files and it will work.

Hi, so I kept the current 3.3 version installed, and tried installing the 3.2 version in my WordPress Dashboard by uploading the file in the plugins section, and I got the following error message:

Installing Plugin from uploaded file: videogall.3.2.zip

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /home3/kerri/public_html/wp-content/plugins/videogall/

    Plugin install failed.

Any idea how to get around this?

Access your files via FTP and overwrite the plugin files there.

    Good luck!

Hi, so I went in through FTP and uploaded videogall.3.2 to my plugin files, but it didn’t overwrite anything, it’s simply in there with the videogall file as well, and nothing changed on my site. Should I rename videogall.3.2 to videogall for it to overwrite the file that was already in there? Because right now, in my ftp files, it says that videogall and videogall.3.2 files are both in there together.
