    Hello,

Thank you for the great plugin!

I faced an issue: when the plugin tries to convert images in bulk, it can’t convert images whose names seem to contain non-latin symbols. In such cases I see errors like these:

    Converting 2020/10/EURUSD-D?D°D′D°Dμ??-750??350-1200x900.jpg failed

Check failed for source path: File does not exist or is outside restricted basedir failed

    I’m looking into it.

Just curious: How did you upload those files? When uploading with media library, WordPress automatically sanitizes the filenames. Letters such as “é” becomes “e”.

Ok. I have worked all day on this issue and have a fix. I shall test it a bit more tomorrow and expect to release it tomorrow.

Here is a link to the issue in github: https://github.com/rosell-dk/webp-express/issues/471

It should be fixed in 0.19.0, which I just released
