Survey on wireless applications

  • Hey everyone, I’m gonna be participating in a national competition in S’pore called the Wireless Java Jam 2003. It’s a student J2ME Wireless Entrepeneur Development Programme.
    Basically, for this competition, I’m gonna develop an application for wireless devices (mobile phones, palmtop computers) using the Java programming language. My application has to fall into one of these categories: Entertainment, Multiplayer Games, Enterprise Applications.
    I’m planning to develop either an enterprise or entertainment application, since games are quite commonplace nowadays. After it has been developed, I’m gonna have to showcase my work to judges who would consider commercialising my application.
    So, getting to the point, I need input from as many people as possible regarding the type of applications that you think would be useful for you, as well as being commercially viable. What kind of software would you like to have on your mobile phones or palmtops, which could facilitate your work or school?
    I’m gonna have to come up with a proposal soon, so your input would be really helpful. Thank you! =)
