Suspended Account

  • Hello,
    Can anybody please help us ?
    We were registered under jbay and 2 days ago we went on our website jbay.wordpress.com and got the message: account archived or suspended ?
    We emailed wordpress, but no response so far. We could not even login anymore to post this question on the forum, so I had to register again.
    We don’t understand what the problem is, …
    We were so stoked about wordpress…

    Usually they tend only to suspend accounts if they have breached their terms and conditions in some way. Double check them and make sure your site was OK in this regard.

    Other than that it is just a case of waiting until they respond. They probably have a lot of support queries so you might need to be patient.

    Would it be possible to keep our jbay.wordpress.com and host it ourselves ?

    no, its not. thats not how the internet works. you can of course, keep the content of your posts, assuming you have it/them memorized or backed up somewhere — but you cannot keep that url.

    As whooami stated it would not be possible for you to retain jbay.wordpress.com – the internet simply does not work that way. To host the blog yourself you would need to obtain your own domain and web hosting.
