SVG icon code become nnn when saving it as pattern

  • Hi, When i use your block in a design and save the whole section as block pattern, using any of the plugin block pattern making plugin for examle your own content block builder, the svg code choosen from library get removed and only nnn text remain in the code box. Due to that svg stop showing, then I have to go to pattern page and have to select that pattern to edit and then have to add that svg icon again. Please check.

    Hi @hozefasmile, Could you show me the steps to reproduce it? It works fine for me on my local. What’s your theme? Is the Gutenberg plugin activated?

    I investigated and found that your plugin have conflict with “MyWP Custom Patterns” plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/mywp-custom-patterns/

    I have intalled this plugin because in your “Content Blocks Builder” plugin not support creating pattern by selecting multiple blocks at once. For example let suppose you select a svg icon block and a pagrapgrah block together, “Add to Block Pattern” option not shows. That works in that plugin.

    Now if you install that plugin and then create pattern using that plugin. The icons not get added correctly and its show n n like words in input box

    Thank you very much for the details. I think this issue should be fixed with the “MyWP Custom Patterns” plugin, not this plugin. I’ve not used that plugin so I don’t have much information about it. But I think there is some sanitizing or converting content when it creates a pattern and that’s why the SVG markup has been removed.

    By the way, you can also create patterns from multiple blocks in the CBB plugin by adding new pattern posts and putting anything in the pattern content like writing a post. For example, I put the whole page in a full-page pattern like this one https://boldpatterns.net/pattern/full-page-landing-template-app-landing/

    You helped that CBB plugin a lot by reporting issues and giving suggestions, if you don’t mind I can give you a license for the Pro version of that CBB plugin. Please send me your email via my email address if you need one, so I can give you the Pro license.
