    SVG files that include a comment like this consistently fail to upload:

    <!-- Generator: Adobe Illustrator 25.2.3, SVG Export Plug-In . SVG Version: 6.00 Build 0)  -->

    (These comments are added automatically by various software.)

    The plugin reports that the “File is not a valid SVG.” Meanwhile, if I remove the comment from the SVG, the file uploads just fine.

    I did not have the problem before updating to the latest version (upon request by my web host due to a CVE). My previous version was v2.5.8. When I downgrade to this version, the issue goes away, so this does appear to be something new.

    In the files I’ve tested, the comment tag always appears between the XML declaration and the opening <svg> tag.

    Ah yes! Thank you for pointing this out!

    The more aggressive security checks recently added do not account for this generator stuff. I’ll adjust!

    Ok this is fixed in 2.5.14

    Thanks again for pointing it out.

    I just installed the latest update, and that appears to have resolved the issue. I really appreciate the quick fix!

    That’s great news! Thanks for letting me know.

    Would be awesome if you could take a moment to leave a review for the plugin.
