For some reason I’ve started seeing a “.svn” folder inside the themes folder on one of my client’s sites. Inside there are two files .. one seems to contain some type of hex code .. the other .. a list of IP addresses.

I don’t recall seeing it before – nor do I see it on any other installation sites. Note the site in question uses a different host than the others.

    So ..

    1) what the heck is it?

    2) how freaked out should I be?

    Thanks

    2) Not at all.

    1) it’s a hidden file that comes with subversion, which is a CMS used by WordPress for themes and plugins. You can google SubVersion to learn about it if you want, but it’s totally safe. Delete if you want, it won’t hurt you either way.
