Swap H1 title with logo image?

    Hello WP forum!

    I’m currently building my very first website in WordPress and i was wondering how webmasters show their logo on their website.

    Right now i have a H1 heading at the top of my header, a boring font that doesn’t really looks interesting. And i was wondering how i could invovle my companys logo in my website.

    So far i’ve googled my way on how to insert a picture in my header, and my logo is showing right below my H1 header which i want to change so that my logo is the only thing showing, instead of the boring H1 header.

    I understand that H1 headings are very important for search engines, so that’s keeping me from editing anything that has to do with the H1. I want to know the right thing to do in my situation so that i don’t break any of the search engines rules on H1 headings.

    Tl;DR – I want to swap my current H1 heading with my logo image without breaking any of the search engines rules

    You may just want to hide the text with CSS and then apply a background image to the H1. Does that make sense?

    I want to swap my current H1 heading with my logo image without breaking any of the search engines rules

    You should talk to the people who run those search engines, they would be best to ask.

    Hello Andrew.

    When you say hide, the only option that comes to my mind is to swap the font color to white, so that the H1 is simply invisible.

    What do you say about that?

    Have you used CSS text indent before?

    No, can’t say that i have.

    But i found out that if i remove my H1 the easy way i remove my site title too, so theres no way of going around coding

    Not really sorry, i don’t know how to figure out the code.

    Can you explain that the text-indent property does? Does it “hide” my H1 or something?
