• I have a client with the unfortunate happenstance that the middle of their last name contains the word anal. so anything that contains their name, which I’m shortening for anonymity sake, VanAl……[email protected] is filtered as spam.
I can’t tell if it’s the plugin, WordPress, or the hosting provider who are filtering out the address, but the plugin returns the failure notice in a yellow box, “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.”
I would appreciate help in understanding:
    1) where does this filtering occur?
    2) How do I turn it off?
    3) Is there an alternative such as label as spam and send anyway?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Are you using this?

Oh no… I’m so sorry for the delayed response. Please accept my apologies.

Akismet is turned on within the site for comments, but no CF7 is not set up to draw in the Akismet filtering. That is the confusing part for us. I can pm you a link to the form and would be happy to share whatever you need to consider a solution for the situation.

It’s fortunate that the customer contact is the person having this problem otherwise we’d probably never have known. does this happen on other sites when Spam Filtering with Akismet is not applied.
